While immigration is the cornerstone and focus of David’s practice, he also assists clientele in state and federal courts as well as immigration courts. David L. Sobel is licensed to practice in all federal courts in Oklahoma, the 5th and 10th federal appellate circuit courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. David has published numerous articles and has had several reported cases in state and federal courts.

IRENE VÁZQUEZ

Irene was born in Guerrero, Mexico and came to the U.S. as an illegal immigrant at the age of threealong with her four siblings. She was able to adjust her status and become a Legal Permanent Resident as a derivative of a VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) applicant. In March of 2018, Irene was sworn in as a United States Citizen and gave her solemn oath for this country that she calls home. Working to become legal herself spawned her interest in immigration and assisting others to obtain status in the United States. It is now her passion.

Determined, she obtained her GED and worked to improve herself. Her immigration opportunity came with David Sobel, and she took every advantage of it. She immersed herself in immigration and fell in love with her work and the opportunity to help others. She does that every day.

Irene joined Sobel & Erwin, PLLC in October 2012, when it was established as a Professional Limited Liability Partnership. She started as a bilingual receptionist and quickly learned the importance of Immigration law as she was a second-generation immigrant. In January of 2018, Irene was promoted to become the paralegal for David L. Sobel. She is his right hand, and an essential team member for David Sobel.

She is enthusiastic about wanting positive results for the firm’s clients. Irene enjoys the individuality and challenges of each and every case. Having firsthand experience of immigrating to America, Irene understands the struggles of an immigrant from another country. Irene is inspired to help others to achieve their goals and aspirations.
